Without a single shred of verifiable evidence the White House has “retaliated” against Putin’s Russia for its alleged involvement in the hacking of DNC email accounts during the recent presidential election by expelling 35 Russian diplomats suspected of spying and promising a whole raft of sanctions against Russia.
Regardless of Sanders’ own plea to his supporters to vote for Clinton they refused in significant numbers to transfer their allegiance. They did this, as Michael Moore inadvertently predicted in TrumpLand
How amusing it is to see the dregs of the lunatic left out smashing up their streets when not much more than half of them even bothered to vote. Now they will learn just how fragile democracy is.
Trump was the unavoidable outcome of the US presidential race once Hillary Clinton succeeded in her project of derailing the Bernie train. Now that we have to live with the reality of “the Donald” in the Oval Office, we better know who’s to blame.
What this amounts to, as a policy, is a declaration of war against Russia – an escalation of what is at present a regional or proxy war into a wider global conflict.
Either way – whoever is elected in November – the US is f*cked. That wouldn’t necessarily be a problem for the civilised world (that’s pretty much everywhere but the US right now) if the mess was contained within in Washington and Los Angeles and the vast swathes of under-educated, over-opinionated, over-weight, dumbfuckary that lies between them, but it’s not.
