At its core Trumpism is a conglomeration of mass movements of ordinary people who, for a multitude of reasons, have been left behind for decades by numerous US Administrations. The heretofore neoliberal political system – the marriage of massive corporatist interests and bought and paid for career politicians – has silenced and impoverished ordinary working Americans.
Far-Right PEGIDA Successfully Faced Down in Dublin
Shortly after three in the afternoon the festive atmosphere of the counter-demo was shattered when about fifteen PEGIDA thugs attempted to storm the GPO. Within moments of the attack they were repulsed and sent running – scurrying – east along North Earl Street to the safety of the Garda public order cordon.
What is Going on in Hungary?
Perhaps it would be easier to see this vicious woman as Hungary’s answer to England’s Katie Hopkins, but even in the United Kingdom there are few people who would be willing to give public violent expression to their racism and xenophobia without fear of arrest.
